Are you a mom who yearns to fulfill her dreams beyond motherhood? If so, Jemima Davis, a woman with a sunny demeanor and fierce determination to succeed, is someone you need to know. In 2021, she launched Inspired Moms Inspired, a community designed to motivate moms to dream bigger, live better and make an impact in the world.
Davis is a visionary. She provides tools and resources for moms looking to start or restart their passion project and develop a profitable online business. Those tools and resources include online training, downloadable reference guides, and tips and recommendations on various social media platforms. She also provides opportunities for moms to connect with each other to serve as sources of hope and encouragement.
Davis recently launched Jemima Davis TV, her new training series and blog. Every week, she releases a new episode and free resource to help moms create impactful results in their personal lives and business goals.
“Mothers play an essential role in the lives of their family and community,” says Davis, “but they also shouldn’t forget the dreams they hold deep within their hearts.”
She adds, “Every mom was created for a purpose, and identifying, clarifying and defining what that purpose is will bring them closer to living a life that is more joyful.”
After leaving the workforce in the field of social work as a foster care recertification specialist in 2013 to become a stay-at-home mom, Davis longed to accomplish more beyond her wonderful life in Columbia, Md., as mother to three beautiful children and wife to Ernest Davis Jr.
“I knew there were other moms like me who desired to keep their dreams alive even though they would often get buried under the responsibility of caring for their family,” she recalls.
To encourage moms who are looking for support from other moms, Davis features “Inspiring Stories” – online episodes highlighting moms making a significant difference with their businesses or passion projects while raising children.
Davis explains that, depending on their experiences, moms may develop limited mindsets that keep them from breaking free to pursue their dreams while raising children.
“It is important for them to have the support system needed to help accomplish those goals. The Inspired Moms Inspire community is here to show moms how to clarify and achieve their goals to make the impact they desire.”
Davis offers three tips to help moms find their purpose and fulfill their dreams:
“Tip number one: You must act. Finding your purpose requires action. That could mean trying your hand at gardening, running or writing, depending on what your passion is,” she says. “Tip number two: Love your stage in life. We need to embrace the moment that we are in. Enjoy the present and stop comparing yourself to someone else. Each one of us was created with our DNA,” she explains. “And Tip number three: Make self-care a priority. Whether it’s reading, praying or taking a zumba class, make sure you take time to take care of yourself.”
With some of her closest friends, Davis recently did just that during a recent stay-cation.
“I packed my bags and drove 15 minutes away from my home to be with my girlfriends, and it was an amazing time of fun laughter,” she says.
Davis remains committed to having moms inspire each other, and one way that she did that was through a challenge that involved them developing new ideas to make their mornings more productive. Some began with prayer and meditation, while others started exercise routines and took breaks from social media.
Following the challenge, Davis invited them to a zoom session to discuss how the challenge changed their lives.
“I was amazed at how each mom not only started a new morning routine for herself, but also served as an inspiration for the other moms. We used Facebook posts to keep ourselves encouraged, and it was a wonderful experience for all of us,” she says. “Moms can achieve their dreams, and I’m here to support them in every way possible.”
